Brief Description

Extinctor is used extensively to protect wood against wood damaging insects like termites & borers. Powder post bettle or borer is a term used to describethe several species of small (1/8-3/4 inches long), wood - boring insects which reduce wood to a fine, flour - like powder. Damage is done by the larvae as they create narrow, meandering tunnels in wood while they feed

  • Infestations are discovered after noticing small, round "exit holes" in the wood surface.
  • Technical use in Extinctor has been evaluated and certified by in India by Indian Plywood Industries Research & Training Institute (IPIRTI), Bangalore against Borer attack and can be used in various methods to treat wood/Plywood that include brushing, dipping & glue line poisoning as well.

Use Of Extinctor

Plywood Glue Line Poisoning 10 gm per cubic meter of wood 800-1000ml of Extinctor/m3 of wood
Dipping 0.025% Solution Mix 1L of Extinctor with 99L of water
Veneer Dipping 0.025% Solution Mix 1L of Extinctor with 99L of water
Wood Dipping/Brushing 0.025% Solution Mix 1L of Extinctor with 99L of water

Precaution

The active ingredient of Extinctor is approved for Indoor and Outdoor usage by recognized Health Authorities. It is safe and environment friendly product.

  • Avoid direct contact with insecticide. Use rubber gloves.
  • When raw materials are put into a mixing tank, avoiding standing in the splash into one's body.
  • When the glue is leaked out, floor and container should be wiped by mop or cloth. Stained cloth should be destroyed by throwing the same into the fire.
  • Worker who is allergic to the chemical substances should not engage in such working.
  • In spreader or hot-press processes, ventilator should be installed for the control of air-borne chemical concentration.
  • After the use put the stopper container and keep the rest in a designated cool and dark place.
  • Always, worker should wear a washed and clean working clothes.
  • As a rule, the entire chemicals from the containers should be exhausted. The top and bottom of an empty container should be cut, so that containers cannot be reused for packing other materials.
  • The remains of the insecticides and washing water from glue mixing tank should not be drained out into river, pond or lakes
  • Washing water from spreader process should be driven into a septic tank and should be reduced by evaporation and absorption into the soil.
  • Solid remains from disposals should be burnt in the boiler of fire.
  • The antidote of the preservative is atropin-sulphate.
  • After work is finished, wash hands with soap and water.
